Entry-Level Robotics Engineer

Small robotics startup needs an engineer who can build prototypes AND talk to customers. We make tile-laying robots for construction. You'll do three things: - Build/Fix Robots - Design parts in CAD, 3D print them, assemble prototypes, debug when things break - Field Support - Deploy robots at construction sites, train contractors, document what fails - Customer Development - Cold call contractors, attend trade shows, schedule demos, follow up on leads Non-negotiable Requirements: - Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion360, etc.) - we need parts designed NOW - Hands-on builder - if you don't like getting dirty, this isn't for you - Comfortable calling strangers and visiting construction sites - Car + license (you're driving to job sites) - Available to start immediately Ideal Background: - Recent engineering grad who built robots in college - Vex/FRC/FTC alum - Technical person from a construction/equipment company - Someone who's built and sold their own hardware projects Reality: - 3-4 days/week in our Marlboro facility (not fancy) - You'll do everything from CAD design to tightening screws and soldering wires to cold calling contractors - Travel to construction sites in NJ/NY area - Small team, no bureaucracy, lots of responsibility immediately Compensation: - $60,000 base - 0.5-1% equity - Potential commission on sales you generate To Apply: Send resume + portfolio showing something you designed AND built.
