Job Description

The Commercial Planner is an individual contributor within the Supply Chain organization. You will ensure compliance with internal procedures. Additionally, the Commercial Planner ensures compliance with all applicable customs regulations. These regulations apply when we conduct cross-border transactions involving products, services, and technology. This includes activities performed through bonded warehouses and free trade zones.

You will provide logistics administration and control within applicable government and corporate regulations. The Commercial Planner instructs, audits, and verifies how our processes, documents, archives, and reports information related to cross-border transactions to the appropriate government authorities and internally. You will also contribute to cost-minimization and productivity plans while ensuring legal and operational compliance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure customs and foreign trade compliance — monitor and accomplish cross-border transactions following applicable customs regulations, government requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Manage trade documentation and reporting. Instruct, review, and verify that you process, document, and archive information related to import, export, and other international trade transactions. Additionally, verify that you report this information to the appropriate authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Audit and control logistics processes — perform reviews and audits of foreign trade and logistics activities to identify compliance gaps, ensure adherence to established procedures, and support corrective actions when required.
  • Coordinate cross-border operations — provide logistics administration and operational control for transactions involving products, services, and technology moving across borders, including activities through bonded warehouses and free trade zones.
  • Support regulatory compliance — stay informed about applicable customs and foreign trade requirements and help ensure that business operations remain aligned with government and corporate standards.
  • Improve cost and productivity improvements — identify opportunities to minimize logistics and trade-related costs, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to continuous improvement plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and information — ensure that trade-related documentation and data are complete, accurate, maintained, and available for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with all partners — work with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Operations, customs brokers, government authorities, and other relevant partners to resolve issues and maintain compliant and efficient operations.

THE ESSENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent English proficiency and fluency to communicate with people at all levels.

THE PREFERRED — YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:

  • +1 years of experience in Foreign Trade / International Trade or a related field.
  • Knowledge about Lean Six Sigma.
  • Intermediate or advanced experience of SAP.
