JoinNVIDIA'sEmbeddedPlatformMiddlewareteam [NvSci Team]—thegroupbuildingthefoundationalsystemsoftwarethatenablessafe,high-performancedatasharingandsynchronizationacrossGPUs,CPUs,andspecializedacceleratorsonNVIDIADRIVE(autonomousvehicles)andJetson(robotics&edgeAI)platforms.Ourmiddlewareistheconnectivetissuethatletsmillionsofsafety-certifieddevicesmovedataatsiliconspeed—deterministically,securely,andat scale. Weworkattheintersectionoflow-levelsystemssoftware,safety-criticalengineering,and ground breakingacceleratorhardware.Ifyouloveshippingcodethatrunsinrealcarsandrealrobots,thisisyourteam.

§ 02WHATYOU'LLBEDOING:

  • DesignandevolvemiddlewareAPIsforbuffersharing,cross-enginesynchronization,streaming,andinter-processcommunication—witharelentlessfocusondeveloperexperience,simplicity,andlong-termmaintainability.

  • Leadend-to-endfeaturedevelopmentthatmeetsstringentautomotivesafetyandsecuritystandards(ISO26262,ASPICE,ISO21434),alignedwithproductroadmapsandreleasecycles.

  • Optimizeperformanceinresource-constrainedembeddedenvironments;partnercloselywithhardwareandfirmwareengineerstoco-designsolutionsthatunlockthefullpotentialofNVIDIAaccelerators.

  • Drivetechnicaldirectionacrossteams—collaboratewithCUDA,graphics,camera,andAVframeworkengineerstosimplifysystemarchitectureandelevatetheplatform.

  • Modernizehowwebuildsoftware—introduceautomation,staticanalysis,fuzzing,andgenerative-AItoolingto improveonreliability,velocity,andscalability.

  • Mentorandinfluence—helpgrowthetechnicaldepthoftheteamandrepresenttheplatformincross-orgdesigndiscussions.

WhatWeNeedtoSee:

  • BSorMSinCS,CE,EE,orrelatedfield—orequivalentexperience.

  • 8+yearsofrelevantsoftwaredevelopmentexperience.

  • StrongproficiencyinCandmodernC++.

  • Deepexperiencewithembeddedsystemsandsystemarchitecture—multi-threadedsoftwarespanningCPUs,accelerators,andheterogeneouschips.

  • Strongunderstandingofoperatingsystemsinternals:memorymanagement,synchronizationprimitives,IPC,anddrivers.

  • Hands-onexperiencewiththeLinuxkernel(drivers,subsystems,orkernel-spacedevelopment).

  • Experiencedeliveringsafety-criticalsoftware—ISO26262,DO-178C,IEC61508,orequivalentcertified-softwaredevelopmentprocesses.

  • Proventrackrecordofdrivingsolutionsfromconcepttoproductionincross-functional,distributedteams.

WaystoStandOut from the crowd:

  • Experiencewithautomotivecybersecurity(ISO21434)orASPICEprocesses.

  • FamiliaritywithQNX,Integrity,orotherRTOSes.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
