Job Description
Perform assembly, load testing, I/O testing, functional testing, and high-power handling/testing using electrical diagrams and standard practices. Operate and support testing of devices such as transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and PLC systems.
You will report to Production Supervisor / Assembly Manager and follow a onsite working schedule in India Kancheepuram.
- Interpret and execute assembly and testing activities of electrical control panels based on work orders, schematics, and one-line diagrams with high accuracy.
- Perform comprehensive testing activities on electrical control panels, including functional testing, I/O testing, load testing, and high-power testing, ensuring compliance with all specified parameters.
- Handle high-power electrical control panels and energization activities with extreme care, strictly following safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Conduct troubleshooting during testing phases of electrical control panels using schematics and wiring diagrams and implement corrective actions.
- Operate and validate components within electrical control panels such as transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and PLC systems under testing conditions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate testing reports and documentation for electrical control panels, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to identify defects, design gaps, and process inefficiencies observed during assembly and testing of electrical control panels.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards with high-risk awareness, especially during energised and high-power testing activities.
- Maintain disciplined implementation of 5S and safety practices throughout assembly and testing operations.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or ITI certification in a relevant technical discipline.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Proficiency in English, in reading and writing technical instructions, procedures, and documentation.
- Electrical assembly and panel wiring skills
- Read and interpret schematics and one-line diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical components (breakers, relays, PLCs, and transformers)
- Proficiency in using assembly tools (torque, pneumatic, electric tools)
- Understanding of wiring standards, routing, and termination practices
