THE ROLE
As a DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure & CI/CD Engineer, you will help build, operate, and improve the cloud platforms, build systems, and continuous integration and delivery infrastructure that support Wayve’s software development lifecycle.
Working as part of a team, you’ll focus on creating reliable, scalable, secure, and efficient environments for software development, testing, deployment, and release. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to deepen your expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, build systems, developer tooling, automation, observability, and platform engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build, operate, and improve cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and build systems supporting development, testing, and production.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and developer tooling to enable reliable, repeatable delivery.
Operate and scale CI/CD services, including build agents, runners, artifact storage, and containerised workloads.
Implement observability, monitor system health, and troubleshoot infrastructure, pipeline, and deployment issues.
Work with engineering teams to ensure platforms meet application needs and support scalable software delivery.
Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and operational practices.
ABOUT YOU
ESSENTIAL
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, build engineering, developer infrastructure, or related engineering roles.
Experience with one or more of the following:
At least one cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Infrastructure-as-Code tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.
CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Buildkite, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Build tooling and concepts including dependency management, caching, incremental builds, and reproducible builds.
Networking, cloud architecture, system reliability, and secure access controls.Experience with Linux, Git, and shell scripting.
DESIRABLE
Experience with build systems such as Bazel, Buildkite, or similar.
Experience operating CI/CD infrastructure at scale, including distributed execution, caching, and artifact management.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based build or deployment environments.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
Understanding of software supply-chain security, secure build practices, and cloud security best practices.
Experience supporting large, multi-language codebases or distributed systems.
Experience improving cloud cost efficiency and operational resilience.
