Job Description

The Network & Cybersecurity Solution Consultant is a client-facing technical leader and trusted advisor responsible for designing, positioning, and delivering secure network and cybersecurity solutions for industrial (OT/ICS) environments.

You will bridge the gap between our risk, operational requirements, and technical implementation, helping customers develop holistic cybersecurity strategies in consideration of frameworks such as NIST CSF and IEC 62443.

The consultant operates across the full lifecycle—from discovery and architecture to sales support, proof-of-concept, and solution delivery—while ensuring both our teams and customers to succeed.

§ 02RESPONSIBILITIES
§ 03CUSTOMER ADVISORY & STRATEGY
  • Be an trusted cybersecurity advisor to customers, guiding them on how to architect and secure OT/ICS environments.

  • Translate goals (safety, uptime, compliance) into applicable cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps.

  • Lead discussions with partners across IT, OT, engineering, and executive leadership.

  • Align solutions to industry standards (NIST, IEC 62443, NERC CIP).

§ 04SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
  • Design secure network architectures including Industrial DMZ (iDMZ), network segmentation, and zoning.

  • Implement Zero Trust and identity-based access models.

  • Develop defence-in-depth strategies using layered controls.

  • Define secure remote access solutions (brokered, least-privilege models).

  • Create architecture diagrams, technical standards, and design specifications.

§ 05ASSESSMENT & RISK MANAGEMENT
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, network and vulnerability assessments, and asset inventory/exposure analysis.

  • Identify gaps and recommend prioritised remediation in consideration of risk and operational impact.

  • Map findings to compliance frameworks and customer requirements.

§ 06PRE-SALES & SOLUTION CONSULTING
  • Partner with sales, distributors, and SI teams to qualify opportunities and uncover customer needs.

  • Position a full cybersecurity portfolio (not just point products).

  • Lead technical presentations, executive briefings, product demonstrations, POCs, and proof-of-value engagements.

  • Translate technical solutions into benefits and Return on investment.

§ 07TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP & DELIVERY SUPPORT
  • Support implementation teams with design validation and best practices.

  • Participate in delivery of cybersecurity projects (network segmentation, secure remote access, monitoring/detection solutions).

  • Ensure agreement between architecture, implementation, and operational outcomes.

§ 08CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT & ENABLEMENT
  • Develop and use structured discovery frameworks (e.g., NIST-aligned questionnaires).

  • Create tailored workshops and engagements to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities.

  • Educate customers and partners on OT cybersecurity principles, risk management, and operational tradeoffs.

  • Provide training and enablement to sales teams, partners, and customers.

§ 09EXPERTISE & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
  • Contribute to cybersecurity strategies and go-to-market approaches.

  • Develop reusable frameworks, guides, and artefacts.

  • Stay current on new threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.

  • Be a subject matter expert (SME) across network and OT cybersecurity domains.

§ 10THE ESSENTIALS – YOU WILL HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical related field or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of industrial networks (ICS, SCADA, PLC-based environments).

  • Experience with network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint visibility tools.

  • 12+ years of experience with network segmentation, iDMZ design, secure remote access, and vulnerability/asset management platforms.

  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks including NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), IEC 62443 standards, and NERC CIP (preferred).

  • Translate compliance requirements into practical technical controls.

  • Client-facing consulting skills including Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects, partner agreement, and workshop facilitation.

  • Bridge technical and non-technical audiences and convert complex technical concepts into business outcomes.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCNA, Security+, ISA/IEC 62443 (expert or practitioner).

  • Experience in industrial automation environments and pre-sales solution consulting roles.

  • Not just product-focused—drives holistic cybersecurity strategy and architecture.

  • Combines deep OT technical expertise with business-level risk conversations.

  • Acts as the “glue” between sales, delivery, and customer operations, influencing pre-sales, advisory, and delivery.**

  • Deep knowledge of industrial networks (ICS, SCADA, PLC-based environments).
