Job Description
As an Electronics NPI Technician, you will support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by operating and maintaining electronic assembly equipment, developing manufacturing processes, and executing production-equivalent prototype builds. You will program and support SMT, selective solder, wave solder, and related manufacturing equipment while developing tooling, fixtures, and processes for new products and technologies. You will partner with Engineering and Industrialization teams to provide early manufacturing feedback and improve NPI execution.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program and support manufacturing equipment, including SMT, selective solder, wave solder, and related equipment.
- Develop and execute NPI prototype builds to support product development and manufacturing readiness.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, including planning and conducting Design of Experiments (DOE) to evaluate and optimize processes.
- Develop, specify, and order tooling and fixtures required for prototype manufacturing, and create, maintain, and update work instructions, procedures, and MOC documentation.
- Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshoot equipment and process issues during prototype builds, and partner with Engineering and Industrialization teams to provide early manufacturing feedback and improve NPI execution.
THE ESSENTIALS - YOU WILL HAVE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
THE PREFERRED - YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:
- 6 years+ experience programming and supporting SMT, selective solder, wave solder, and related electronic assembly equipment.
- Experience developing and executing NPI prototype builds.
- Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes and conducting Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Experience developing, specifying, and ordering tooling and fixtures for prototype manufacturing.
- Experience with work instructions, procedures, MOC documentation, preventive maintenance, and equipment/process troubleshooting.
