OVERVIEW

Before the detail, here's the challenge you'd help us solve.

We build the embodied intelligence that moves real vehicles safely, and the ecosystem a billion machines will run on in the future. Very few people in AI can say this. Every role here, whatever the team, plugs into that.

Here’s what this particular role covers.

🛠️ About our Fleet Operations Talent Team

Wayve is pioneering Embodied AI for autonomous driving. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Associate to join our Sunnyvale team and support the continued growth of our real-world testing and operations. Our talent team plays a crucial role in building the high-performing Fleet Operations teams that enable us to scale safely and efficiently across North America and beyond.

🧠 Your day-to-day

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across high-volume frontline, technical, specialist, and manager-level Fleet Operations roles, including intake, market mapping, assessment, offer, and close.

  • Build representative candidate pipelines through direct sourcing and a range of attraction channels, focusing on scalable strategies for Vehicle Safety Operators and other operational roles.

  • Develop trusted partnerships with hiring managers and Directors, providing consultative guidance on role definition, assessment, market conditions, candidate quality, and closing strategies.

  • Deliver an inclusive, transparent, and well-managed candidate experience, supporting teams with structured interviewing, timely feedback, and consistent decision-making.

  • Use recruitment data and market intelligence to monitor progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, and shape effective hiring strategies.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Talent Acquisition, People, Finance, and Fleet Operations on workforce planning, employer branding, and improvements to hiring processes.

🧩 What you’ll be working on:

  • Driving high-impact hiring for Fleet Operations teams, including specialized and leadership roles across multiple sites.

  • Innovating scalable sourcing and direct outreach approaches tailored for operational and technical profiles.

  • Shaping hiring processes and partnerships that are both candidate-centric and aligned with evolving business priorities.

  • Providing actionable insights based on recruitment data and market intelligence to optimize team building and hiring success.

  • Contributing to workforce planning, talent programs, and recruitment marketing to strengthen Wayve’s employer brand.

🙌 You should apply if:

  • You have demonstrated success independently delivering full-cycle recruitment within a fast-paced or scaling organization.

  • You have experience recruiting across a broad range of roles, including high-volume, professional, or manager-level positions.

  • You have the confidence and judgment to advise senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and translate business needs into effective hiring strategies.

  • You have strong direct-sourcing skills and experience using multiple attraction channels.

  • You are hands-on, adaptable, highly organized, and able to balance competing priorities with strong attention to detail.

  • You are comfortable using applicant tracking systems, recruitment data, and market insights to inform decisions and communicate progress.

  • (Desirable) You have experience recruiting within fleet operations, automotive, logistics, manufacturing, field operations, mobility, customer operations, or another high-volume operational environment.

  • (Desirable) You have experience supporting hiring across multiple locations, working with globally distributed stakeholders, or have familiarity with Ashby or similar ATS.

  • (Desirable) You have experience designing or improving volume-hiring campaigns, recruitment events, or structured assessment processes.

  • (Desirable) You thrive in a startup environment where priorities and processes continue to evolve.

🌱 Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! If you’re passionate about autonomy and keen to learn, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Sunnyvale, California. Wayve operates a hybrid working policy: a minimum of two days each week in the office, with the balance flexible for remote work. Our approach supports innovation, collaboration, and individual productivity.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role is $130,000 to $150,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on candidate skills, qualifications, and experience.

More about Wayve:
🚀 Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving. We are pioneering an end to end AI approach that enables vehicles to learn directly from real world experience, developing the ability to adapt, generalise and improve at scale. Instead of relying on hand coded rules or pre mapped environments, our AI Driver learns to drive by understanding the world around it. The result is technology that navigates complex urban environments with intelligence, precision and natural flow, unlocking meaningful advances in both safety and efficiency. We believe autonomy represents a once in a generation transformation in how people and goods move, comparable to the shift from horses to cars, and from human driven vehicles to intelligent machines.

Our ambition is to make autonomy universal. Wayve’s mapless and hardware agnostic AI platform integrates with global OEM partners, enabling continuous software evolution and unlocking advanced levels of automation from L2 plus through to L4 as our core AI model scales. In a race increasingly defined by intelligence and real world learning, Wayve is taking a distinct approach, building a generalisable driving intelligence that can power any vehicle, anywhere. By combining embodied AI with scalable deployment, we are creating technology that can be shaped to each OEM brand and driver experience, accelerating the transition to a safer, more intelligent future of mobility.

A quick, honest note before you apply.

Wayve is not a mature, fully-structured place with the playbook already written. Much of how we work is still being written, and if you join, you’ll help write it. That suits people who want real ownership more than people who need a settled structure from day one.

If that sounds like the kind of problem you want to spend your time on, we’d really like to hear from you.

At Wayve we're committed to creating a diverse, fair and respectful culture that is inclusive of everyone based on their unique skills and perspectives, and regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding) or any other basis as protected by applicable law.
