We have an immediate hiring need for our full-time manufacturingAssembler level3. This is a 1stShift role (M-F, 6:00AM – 2:00PM), in Dept 459 - Multi Drive, with a starting rate of $21.85per hour.
Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies.Determinesand/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring,component
installation, handsolderingand cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding
tolerances to blueprint specifications.
This position performs repetitive assembly of pre-engineered electro-mechanical equipment control modules. Working from hard copy and electronic assembly documentation and instructions, the position follows established sequencing of hardware and wiring installations using predefined tools and fixtures. This position will also provide manufacturing order support including engraving, labels,andreports, handle heavy gauge electrical wiring and plumbing routing and assembly in repetitive product manufacturing.This position evaluatesunique assembly and disassembly requirements andpreparean approach based upon safe work practices, cleansmodules, restorespainted surfaces, and performsgeneral preparation prior to product shipment.
The position takes direction frommanufacturingteamleadsin assigned workstations, followsinstructions provided by a Tester to perform rework of product test anomaliesand performsgeneral preparation prior to product shipment.Position working environment isstandardizedassembly with paced productivity requirementsand assessingproducts returned from customers for service and plan restoration of control modules.Working with continuous leadership in a production environment, the position is held to the highest standards in, and compliancewith,safety, quality, delivery, productivity, procedures, policies, and metrics.Overtime is an essential function of thispositionwhich typically requires 20 hours of overtime/week. Actual overtime hours may vary.
Read, follow, and execute tasks per sequence defined by electronic or hardcopy drawings and work instructions.
Follow standardized methods of work toaccomplishan established set of assembly tasks
Assemble components and sub-assemblies in an assembly line fashion per specific defined process and in definedtime frame
Use tools including Component Lead Cutters and Crimpers, Forming and Insertion Press Fixtures, Wire Strippers, Wire Luggers, Hand Tools, Fully Automated Test Systems, Torque Drivers, Lifting Fixtures, and Hoist & Crane
Comfortable working from elevated surfaces
Ability tooperateindependently and productively with minimum supervision
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to perform, reading of electrical schematics, standardcomponentplacements, assembly from workmanship standards and guidelines.
Demonstrated understanding and logical approach to analyses andproblem solvingtechniques
Work from established product bill of materials, wiring schematics, and layout drawings of products currently manufactured and previously manufactured products from a variety of Manufacturing Operations facilities
Basic computer literacy
Basic ability to read, write and speak English
A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR2yearsof verified related experience
